"Three-hour time limit? Is there a way around this? Appalling. And so American. Very disappointed - it eliminates some of the sacred."
We are sorry you feel so strongly about this. We get it. Nobody wants to worry about the time when they are relaxing. But in reality, most people spend one to two hours here by choice. This three-hour limit is generous, compared with other spas in the region. It is needed to keep waiting times reasonable for people who want to enjoy the facilities like you did. And if giving up a bit of personal rights - access in this case - for the good of the many, is what you mean by so American, then so be it.
Add gentle lavender scent to the sauna or something else to combat natural body odor. Book selections for quiet room. Thank you so much!"
We try to let the natural cedar in the sauna do its magic, though we recognize it may sometimes need a boost when the space is heavily used. We wipe down the sauna benches and floors nightly and do a deep scrub underneath regularly. Re: reading material, we are on the lookout for an appropriate small bookcase for somewhere in one of the lounge spaces. Thanks for the feedback!
"More snacks please! We love you!
We probably won't carry any snacks. Too many variables. We do offer free teas, cocoa and cider and all the water you can drink. Work up a hunger here then go find some eats at one of the many food trucks around the block.
"I'm sure some peeps have written this, but would be rad to have a full submersion cold tank. Doesn't even need to be a pool, maybe one of those horse troughs or something? Just dreamin' here."
The state and county say they need it to be a full-on pool. We working to try and get them to accept some of the modern off-the-shelf models of cold plunges, which have solid circulation and filtration systems.
"Cold plunge please."
Our No. 1 request. We are working on it. We need to follow county and state health department rules, even though many of the individual cold plunges you may find today in Seattle, or not properly licensed.
"Virginia was a great meditation facilitator."
Thanks! Join the weekly meditation upstairs, Tuesdays at 7pm.
"Host a sound bath and sauna night."
We hosted a sound bath on the Winter Solstice, and have two more on the schedule in the coming months, the first being on Thursday, Feb. 1 at 6:30 pm. Call or stop by the front desk to sign up! Come early and spend some time in the hot pool or sauna.
"No time limit before 3pm. Online status of the number of people at the spa. OK to stay later in common rooms after three hours. Staying after helps with the creative afterglow and less rush. Builds community too."
I hear you. We felt that having varying times when the newly-implemented three-hour limit was applied and times when it wasn't would be too difficult for everybody to keep track of. Regarding having a way to check online the status of the deck population, we are working with one of our tech-minded members to get a counter up and running on our website soon. As far as staying later in common rooms after your three hours is up, we do ask that you check out with the front desk receptionist. You may then linger in the Wave Room, up front just off the main lobby, as you transition to the outside world, and make space to allow others to experience the magic of Sacred Rain.
"I missed the pricing on the website. Make it more clear, i.e., massage vs spa discount at $25. Otherwise, fantastic!"
Thanks for the feedback. We've made a few adjustments to the Services and Prices page to try and make those nuances more clear. https://www.sacredrainhealing.com/services-and-prices.html
"A different color light in the Wave Room would be more relaxing.
Soap needs to be replaced in one of the showers. Loved the scent of the conditioner."
I'm not sure what color the light was when you wrote this. We change it every day depending on the weather and the mood of the person turning it on in the morning. We try to stay on top of keeping the showers clean and stocked, thanks for letting us know! And thanks for the feedback on the conditioner! We like it too.
"Facewash please. I am getting pimples. I forget to bring my own."
It's tough to know which products people need, and difficult to stock and access something specialized. Keep a travel bottle of your stuff in your bag, I suppose! Our bath products are listed in a comment below.
"Meditations are my favorite perk of membership. Thank you to all the facilitators."
Yes! Members and day users of the spa have free access to the guided meditation group every Tuesday evening starting at 7pm, in the upstairs common room. Join a rotating roster of meditation facilitators and take a spot somewhere comfortable....
"I think we can have a total of 30 people and possibly promote the inner lounge so five-ish people are there. Maybe some hot cider or some activity there to incentivize some people hanging out there."
Well, the downstairs bean bag room and the upstairs common room are quiet spaces, because of their proximity to four treatment rooms, so we don't mind keeping it on the down-low. We DO have hot cider available in the front lobby (maybe since you wrote this!). Still keeping the max at 25.
"You are all so awesome. What a sanctuary this place is. Put a tip box out for the staff around the holidays"
We welcome gratuities for staff and practitioners. There are envelopes at the front desk that can be used to direct a tip to someone, or the staff as a whole. Any gratuity added to deck entry fees are distributed to the front desk and spa attendants. Thanks!
"Unscented shower products please."
It is difficult to find good quality bath products with a steady supply. We tried several brands and types of soap and hair products. At this time, we are using Everyone 3-in-one body soap (coconut and lemon), Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Invigorating shampoo (peppermint, eucalyptus and rosemary) and Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Invigorating conditioner (peppermint, eucalyptus and rosemary). Please feel free to bring a small travel bottle of your favorite soap or hair product if you'd like to use something different.
"Stay open until 10pm during the week. It will help with crowding and a late evening spa is desirable."
We may do that again sometime. I agree with you on all points.
"Unstable unicorns."
Let's hope not.
"You need a steam room and an ice room!"
Not enough space. Maybe the next one....
"Everyone does such a good job. This is one of the best places in Seattle. Never change."
Thank you so much. We love you too!
"Cold plunge please : ) Great heat in sauna!"
We really are working in it! And thanks!
"It would be great if shoes could be taken off and left outside of the changing room. Maybe a shoe rack and bench in the hall?"
That's a great idea. It's a bit tight through there, but I'll keep my eyes open for a good option. In the meanwhile, we have an extended welcome mat next to the front door where you may leave your outside shoes before coming further into the building. If many people started doing that, I'll bet we come up with a corridor option sooner rather than later!
~ ~ ~ ~
"Love it here, thank y'all! Have you considered doing trans/gender non-conforming only hours?"
Thanks, we love it here too. We've considered a couple of exclusive timeslot possibilities -- ladies only, trans only, men only -- but at this point want the space to be totally inclusive all the time.
"Amazing staff and beautiful space. Scented fabrics in the sauna create toxicity and cancels out my detox. Thanks!"
Thank you and sorry that you had a less-than-ideal experience with scented fabrics in the sauna. We do not condone any heavy scents in the sauna (or the spa in general), letting the hot cedarwood take care of the job.
"Ice machine?"
It's on our radar for summertime.
"An ice-cold plunge you can dip into."
The most requested amenity. We are looking at options. In the meantime, get underneath those cold showers!
"Fabulous place! Having lived in Ballard for decades, it's about time we discovered this place. Looing forward to future visits!"
Thank you! We are glad you found us.
"Donuts."
As much as we love donuts, we're not gonna supply them for folks. We recommend Top Pot (four blocks away) or Mighty-O (six blocks away). You may bring your donuts onto the deck.
"Put a bubble machine down near the plants and with a remote or on a timer, set off some bubbles. Summertime only.."
I think we will leave it to the spontaneous whims of our spa attendants to augment the space with bubbles on a case-by-case basis.
"Sacred Rain is wonderful each time!"
Thanks! We'll keep working hard to make it so!
"Somewhere to watch the sunset! Y'all are fantastic. Thank you!"
While we can never quite see the western horizon from the deck, there are many days when the setting sun will shine though a gap in the neighboring building and beam magical sunbeams directly on one or two spots against the spa building wall. If you catch it just right, you can get a full 30 minutes more sun than the rest of the deck. Otherwise, lay back and enjoy the changes in the sky above you. The sun is setting there, too.
"Love this place. Love the staff. Thank you for creating a safe space where a tired mom can relax and recharge."
It's our pleasure and honor.
"I wish my puppy could come and stay (in the crate, napping, wouldn't disturb anyone)."
We love dogs. But if your dog can come in then so can others who may not be as well behaved. ADA law requires us to allow trained service dogs to enter, but that is likely the extent of our welcome mat for our canine buddies.
"Quiet hours would be lovely. Open really late once a month?"
We support quietness at all times. Human nature being what it is, things can get less quiet when there are more people here. We recommend mornings if you are looking for the most quiet time of the day. We do encourage people to keep the volume of their voices soft, but because the social aspect of the spa is valid, we do not want to cut off all conversation. We are open until 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. I do not seeing us offering any later times than that.
"Infinity pool. Cold plunge. Flowing water."
All lovely ideas.
"Thank you for your warmth, hospitality and enduring space for relaxation and restoration. You have a serene atmosphere at Sacred Rain, and it has been a cool joy being here."
Thank you so much for that feedback!
"Have chocolate bowls everywhere? Vegan?"
Maybe on Valentines Day.
"Excelente todo! Nos encanto el espacia! Gracias"
De nada! Gracias por venir!
"Add a cupping service (e.g. 20-minute just cupping)."
Some of our massage practitioners practice cupping and may integrate it into a bodywork session if requested, but unless we get a therapist who only wants to do cupping, I don't see the a la carte version taking off.
"Padded seats by the hot tub."
We will consider that!
"It would be really great if the outdoor spa area was highly encouraged to be quiet or silent. There are many people and groups that socialize in the hot tub and it takes away a lot for those who come here to relax and unwind. Otherwise, great place! Thank you!"
We agree with your sentiment. I was in the spa pool the day this comment was submitted and was chased out of the pool, and irritated, by a talkative couple of people. We have installed a sign next to the spa pool asking for "Soft Voices Please." We encourage folks to feel free to point to this sign when others are getting loader than they should be in the pool. One may also request that the spa attendant on duty have a word with the loud patrons to encourage a more considerate volume.
"What about a free little library in the front sitting room? Small shelf to house books to exchange, or take on the deck while here. Thx :)"
"Can we make a little free spa library? Wouldn't that be cute? You're amazing!"
We agree that a little lending library would be a great addition. We are on the lookout for a small shelving unit to house such a collection. In the meantime, there are already a couple of books and magazines in the front Wave Room that folks are free to borrow.
"Infrared red light please."
If you are referring to red light therapy, we will likely not install red lights for red light therapy. A person needs to be fairly close to the light source for purported benefits to be gained and there does not seem to be an efficient way to make that happen in this context.
"Please start the sauna and hot tub earlier, around 6 or 8 am. It helps to start the day with a positive note with natural energy."
We agree and would love to have the resources to be open from 6am to 10pm. However, we do not, and we have to gauge our capacity and limit our open hours accordingly.
"Cold plunge pleeeeease! It's the only reason I haven't gotten a membership already. (I still probably will though; I'm hooked anyhow.")
We would love to add a cold plunge. In the meantime, spend some quality time under the powerful cold showers to get your chill on!
"Incredible experience! Thank you for all the hard work y'all put into this space!"
You are welcome!
"Pool or tub better be hotter. It is warm."
We typically keep the spa pool at 104 degrees Fahrenheit, the highest temperature allowed by state law. If the pool did not feel that hot when you were here, it's possible that we forgot to bring the spa pool heater up in the morning from its sleep temperature of 98F. It doesn't happen often, but could explain your observation. We will try to stay on top of it!
"Great job creating something special. How about an additional outdoor sauna, and one that fits more people, and having a sauna meister?"
Some days it would definitely be nice to have a larger - or a second - sauna. Space limitations will likely preclude that. And I think a Sauna Meister would demand a larger space in which to work.
"Please add shields to the outdoor lights so the light shines onto the ground and not into people's eyes!"
While we definitely do not want bright lights shining into everyone's eyes, we do need to illuminate the entire outdoor area adequately. All of the outdoor lights are dimmable, and we try to keep them as low as possible while still offering enough light to safely navigate the deck. Feel free to ask the attendant to dim the lights a bit if you feel they are too harsh any particular day.
"Enjoying the place so far! That said I'd like to echo the previous comments regarding hours. As someone with young kids and working full time it makes it almost impossible to use the spa after work. Any extended hours in the evening would be welcome. Also maybe some yoga mats and stretch straps for the quiet area? Thanks!"
We would love to extend hours as well. At this time, staffing limitations will not allow that. We have a dozen or more yoga mats and blocks in the upstairs common room that you are welcome to utilize up there or down in the bean bag room.
"Would be amazing to have a steam room."
We love steam rooms. But the limited space here will not allow it. If we were to make a capital improvement, it would likely be a cold plunge. The steam room may have to wait for Sacred Rain II.
"A nap area."
We've got a great, cozy nap area in the aptly named Bean Bag Room. Two seven-foot long beanbags offer an amazing place to crash for 20 minutes or two hours. There is also a Thai cushion laid out in the same room with a heating pad on it, available for horizontal reclining. In addition, the upstairs common room has a La-Z-Boy rocker/recliner as well as a long couch, both of which offer great options for the sleepy.
"I love this place. Thank you."
You are welcome. We built it for you.
"Would be wonderful to add skincare services in addition to bodywork! Organic products, locally sourced, etc.."
We are not opposed to the idea. The services that Sacred Rain offers are a reflection of the people who work here and the services they offer. Our menu of services is subject to change as the people do.
"Thank you for having this sanctuary available. It is a truly wonderful place and the healing energy is palpable. I feel the love and warmth.."
Thanks so much. We try to be loving caretakers of this sacred space.
"Hello. My suggestion is offering washcloths with a spa session alongside sarong and towel. For cleaning with."
Decent suggestion. We will give it some thought.
"Hi! Can you consider some type of system to let others know a person prefers silence (not to talk with others)? Idea: Red/green bracelet, or stamp signaling talking/no talking. Thanks!"
We appreciate the spirit of this suggestion. At this time, however, we are not likely to implement a talk/no talk notification system. With some exceptions, many people are pretty good at reading other people's receptiveness to conversation. Some ways to communicate this are limiting eye contact with others, keeping your eyes closed as if in meditation, or reading a book. We like to assume that everyone is there for personal quiet time unless otherwise expressed. And we encourage all visitors to respect others' privacy and space. Hope you are finding enough quiet time here! Also, mornings and middays tend to be quieter in general, while evenings tend to be more social.
"Showers by the sauna should have grab bars. The sauna, hot tub and deck are great!"
Interestingly, the day this suggestion came in, we had the same thought about the grab bars. Safety bars at each outdoor shower have been installed!
"A cool pool."
Agreed. We would love to have a cold plunge. When we are ready for a capital improvement, that will likely be the project that we take on.
"Never close! You're the best! We adore you!"
Awww. We adore you too!
"You are, I am."
Indeed.
"Love the conversations and the version of me that gets space to express myself."
That's awesome!
"Your whole staff is awesome!."
Thanks! We think so too!
"Excellent."
Thanks!
"Always a sanctuary. Thank you for your clean, welcoming atmosphere and great staff."
You are very welcome! We try hard to keep the place squeaky clean, and fill it with loving, dedicated people.
"It would be cool to have a Go board with stones! Maybe in the center of a room with soft Japanese mats for sitting! Go is a 2,500-year-old Chinese game. It has black and white stones for both players, and it's a two-player game, like chess!)"
Noted! We do have a chess board in the front Wave Room, and are not opposed to adding additional game options.
"Jacqueline was amazing! I love the facility, so clean and inviting. I wish there were more services, i.e.: body wraps and treatments. I want to spend the entire day here.."
Thanks! We love Jacqueline too! We are open to other services as practitioners come into the picture.
"Moisturizer would be super cool!"
Done! There is now a bottle of unscented lotion at the vanity in the locker room.
"No suggestions yet... Just have to confirm you have an amazing spa here, and I appreciate it!"
Thanks! We appreciate you!
"I'd love to request bidets in the bathrooms. The increase in cleanliness, in my opinion, is well worth the cost."
We agree that bidets are awesome and improve personal hygiene. In a commercial setting, however, they can be confusing to many people who are not familiar with their use and we have concerns about cleaning up afterwards. The indoor showers are great places to freshen up after using the restroom.
"There's a gap in the sauna door that heat escapes through. It'd be great if the sauna was better sealed to get a better steam buildup."
We purposefully left the seal around the door somewhat loose to compensate for the fact that there was no built-in vent for fresh air circulation in the sauna. We agree, however, that the gap was unreasonably large and potentially drafty, so we have largely sealed that up. Thanks for the suggestion!
"Is it possible to raise the temp in the hot tub to 102 degrees?"
We typically keep the spa pool at 103 degrees F. During very hot weather, we may drop it to 101 degrees F temporarily. In winter, we may bump it up to 104 degrees F.
"I had a lovely break. Great sauna and cold shower. Just what I needed."
Glad you had a great time! Make it a regular thing!
"A cold plunge would be amazing."
We agree! When the time comes for a capital improvement on the deck, a cold plunge would be the likely project. It would not be simple, however, nor would it be cheap. Regulations what they are, the plunge -- even if it were small -- would need to be built to meet full spa pool requirements. For the record, the two cold showers we currently use on the deck are frigid enough to give a person hypothermia (it happened), so in the meantime, they will have to do the job!
"Turn the utility room in the locker and changing area into a steam room!"
We thought about it! But where would we put the tools and supplies we need to keep things running smoothly on a daily basis? We decided that we couldn't have it all. We are always open, however, to the opportunities that arise....
"Emilie was the best! Also, a crystal singing bowl would be so nice!"
Thanks! We think Emilie is the best too. Also, while not crystal, we do have a handmade copper singing bowl from Nepal. It is upstairs on the fireplace mantle and is available for anyone to use.
"We love the silence and peace of no electronics. Please, can you remind guests of your no-electronics policy? We've been seeing a lot of electronics lately. Just tonight, three iPhones, a headphone and a kindle...."
Our policy regarding electronics does allow devices to be used on the general deck area -- where all of the chairs and chaises are typically positioned -- but prohibits electronics of any sort in and around the pool or inside the sauna. Electronic devices on the main deck area must be silent, discreet and not positioned in a way that would allow photography, which is prohibited on the deck.
"Hi. This place is super awesome! It would be great if Sacred Rain was open more often later, until 10pm. Perhaps Thursdays through Sundays, or Wednesdays to Saturdays. Thank you!"
Thanks for the kudos and we will note your vote for extended hours!
"Have you ever thought about adding graphic arts or a nice mural out on the deck?"
Yes, from the beginning. This building has a long history of large pieces of street art on its exterior walls. We have spoken with a few artists since our initial remodel of the former office building in 2017. We are in preliminary design talks with an artist with close ties to the spa for a wall mural outside sometime in the not-too-distant future.
As a 9-to-5 person during the week, I would love to come to the spa after dinner, to relax before bed. A later (say, 10pm) closing time during the week would allow me to come more often. If you don't get a lot of traffic weekday mornings, maybe consider shifting to later hours during the week?
We definitely have the 10pm closing idea on our radar. However at this time, we are not ready to change our hours of operations.
"Sauna makes me hot and I have low blood pressure. I wish you had snacks to help so I don't have to leave and come back when hungry."
We are not likely to start carrying snacks, considering the many diets and eating habits of our guests. You are welcome to plan ahead and bring food for your stay here. Food may be eaten in the inside chill spaces or on the deck.
Please provide Q-Tips in the locker room.
Done. We have compostable, organic cotton swabs available at the vanity.
"I love this quiet space. It feels like it's been made for just me and all my neighbors who simply love an escape. That is to say, I get a bit worried what will happen when the brewery next door opens their outdoor space. How can we shield the drinkers and smokers to not interfere and intrude into our space while giving them their own escape? It feels inevitable that Sacred will become more like a loud party than a safe space. I hope it doesn't. Thank you for everything you bring to Ballard!"
We are so happy that this place speaks to you, and we share your concerns about exterior noise volumes that may come with out neighbor's new outdoor space. The neighborhood is already pretty active, and at times noisy, between heavy equipment, construction and brewery district foot traffic. If we find that it is too concentrated and too close, there is a space for a buffer wall to be constructed between the brewery and our front parking area. We will see how it goes. In the meantime we will do our best to be sure the conversations in the pool and on the deck are not so loud as to interfere with other spa patrons' sense of peace and quiet. So, no to loud parties, yes to safe space.
"This place is magical! I'm a grad student and can't afford it really, but it's such a good reset for my sensory systems that I keep coming back after midterms/finals! Everything smells wonderful, the music is soft, all the textures are warm and cozy. The lighting, though, is so harsh! I get it in the changing rooms, but the bare bulbs in the hallway and especially in the bean bag room are ouchy to look at! (Especially for those with sensory processing challenges.) Also would love to see accessible entrance/room for wheelchair users to safely transfer into the hot tub and sauna. Thanks!"
Thank you for the compliments and the critique! We agree that the lights in the bean bag room, especially, were harsh. We have installed diffusers over all of the warehouse fixtures in the bean bag room and corridor. Much more friendly! Thanks for encouraging us to take action!
Regarding wheelchair accessibility: All of our facility is built to ADA specs for accessibility. We have a transfer bar built into the north side of the pool edge designed specifically for wheelchair-bound folks to pull themselves into the pool. The sauna door is wide enough to allow a chair to be pulled in to allow the person to transfer over to the sauna bench. Two of the four indoor showers are designed to be wheelchair accessible and two of our three public restrooms are wheelchair friendly. Each changing area has at least one specially designed wheelchair-accessible locker. We recently had a guest using a wheelchair during the entirety of her visit and she reported that her access was very good.
"Hello! It would be wonderful if Sacred Rain were open til 10pm or 10:30pm daily."
"Would love to see the hours change on weekdays, open until 10pm."
"Please stay open til 10pm again."
Hi! We were originally open 10am-10pm every day and that's ideal to us as well, but since the pandemic, it seems like people don't stay out as late during the week. That, plus staffing shortages in the past year, has made it easy to stay with the earlier closing. Still, we will revisit this and reconsider opening hour changes sometime in the future.
"I wish the sauna was hotter."
We do too. Exploring options for getting that temperature up a bit. The controller maxes out at 184 F.
"Great! Keep it up. Love you guys/gals! Please require vaccinations, though!"
Thanks! We definitely still require vaccinations (or negative covid tests). If fact, we required vaccinations a month before King County required it for businesses like ours. All of our members and most returning guests have their vaccination verification on file, so you may not hear us ask everybody for proof at the door, but we do require it.
"I loved my time here. Very relaxing and inclusive. Thank you!"
Thank you!
"A red light in the sauna would be nice. More calming... and dilates the pupils in the dark. Thanks y'all!"
"Red light therapy."
While a single red LED bulb six feet away is not likely to offer the physical benefits attributed to red light therapy, it is easy on the eyes and it's a good color for reading. Mostly we want a light that illuminates enough to be able to see clearly inside the sauna after dark without being irritating to those sitting close by. We 've got a red bulb in there now.
"Can we get disposable slippers? Sincerely, Cold Toes."
We are not likely to offer disposable or reusable slippers. We encourage you to bring your own if you would like!
"Suggestion: a few signs and staff coming out and checking or reminding people to keep their conversations on the patio short and at a low volume would really help those of us with auditory sensitivities to feel more welcome and like we can count on the space to be a healing one, consistently. [One evening recently] the hot tub had the feeling of walking into a bar at happy hour and you could hear the convos inside the dry sauna."
We hear you and appreciate your concern. Sacred Rain was designed and is intended to be a place of quiet contemplation and relaxation, not a party place. That said, many people do come here for the social interaction and for the conversations they have with people, especially in the circular spa pool. While we do not want to institute a silence rule, we do not want to encourage or condone boisterous behavior or loud conversations either. We ask - and will remind - all guests to keep their conversations at a low volume, and be considerate of others around them. Consider limiting personal conversations to a whisper when others are in the pool.
"Outdoor fire pit?"
While an outdoor fire pit sounds delightful, and no doubt would be nice, we feel like if we installed one, we would have to have a circle of seats or benches around it so folks could take advantage of the fire. That takes up a lot of precious deck space, which we don't have to spare. It also encourages louder conversations across the fire pit, and we do not want to encourage loud verbal communication on the deck.
"Ayri is the best. She made my spa experience 1000% better. Make her the spa tsarina!"
We agree! Ayrielle, who works the front desk five days a week, IS the spa tsarina!
"First time here! Fabulous! Thank you!"
You're welcome! Thanks for coming and making it more fabulous!
"Unscented lotion in locker room. Hot shower outside too!"
Yes on the lotion (we've had it available on occasion). Probably not on the hot shower outside. It would be too far (about 120 feet) from the hot water heater and the water would cool too much during its journey in the hose.
"The set screws on the temperature control in the first shower seem to be loose."
Thanks! Fixed. We appreciate hearing about any maintenance issue that guests may come across while using the spa. We will do our best to take care of them immediately!
"Your plants look beautiful - someone must love to garden!"
Yes! Many of us do! Much of the general upkeep of the plants is thanks to garden fairie queen Jessica, who works her green wand three days a week on the deck.
"Drinking water outside please."
We may add a water dispenser on the deck at some point. Rain on paper cups is an issue....
"Tea or kombucha bar or snacks for purchase. So nice that there's an outdoor space. Steam rooms are nice too."
We do have hot tea and cocoa available for free (and of course, unlimited water). Maintaining snack inventory and trying to keep things healthy and accessible to a wide variety of dietary needs seems like too far out of our realm. While not as convenient, there are several food options within a couple of blocks, and you are welcome to have food on the deck and in the indoor chill spaces. We like steam rooms too, we just don't have enough space for one, as it sits now.
"Sell robes. We will buy them!"
We lease our robes (which we offer to guests getting massage and acupuncture work) and have them sanitized after every use. We will probably start to sell Sacred Rain merchandise at some point. Waffle robes are pricey, though, even wholesale. But they would look really good with the SR logo embroidered on them....
"When will Naked Yoga resume?"
Both of our instructors for Naked Yoga relocated to the East Coast during the pandemic. While we do have another possible carrier of the torch, we are unable to offer the class until social distancing rules are relaxed. The upstairs yoga space can hold 13 yoga mats, but if we are distancing, that number is cut in half. We will keep you apprised on the website!
"So appreciate Sacred Rain! Keep up the lovely work!"
Thanks! We appreciate you as well!"
(Some older comments may not appear on this page.)
